Through Big D camera lens

One fine day Big D snatched the sony camera and got really curious with the buttons and lens.

He got really surprised when you get to see the same things you just "framed" become still images.

Shades

Our Big D never liked accessories. The only time we managed to put on one was the beanie after much coaxing from Grandma when he was really young and could not refuse much. The other time wasn't much a choice, it was at berlin he had to keep his head warm...

While going through on of the drawer, he found my shades from Charles and Keith. Daddy put it on for him and clapped loudly ( very loudly to encourage him). He LOVED the attention....

Then a few days later....

Cat Spotting ~ Meow

Darius's Favourite activity - Spotting Cats in the neighbourhood.

Sometimes when we try to entice him to get up and go out of the house, we tell him : 

" Darius, let's find some cats..."

Eventually it has became one of his hobbies and when he managed to spot the Ginger Cat (the cat who frequently roam right under our block) he gets very very overly excited.

Finger Paintings & Bus rides

Big D have been down with fever and flu... so some days, Mei will be at Ah-mah place and Mummy get to spend " quality" time with the boy At Home alone.

We are so bored just staring at each other and the conflict we had with each other due to medicine feeding.

So We tried finger painting!

In the evenings we decided ( or rather Mummy decided) that we could take a Bus ride to Ah-mah's place and meet daddy and Mei there for dinner.

 

This was one of the better rides... the other rides it was stressful as there's not really enough space and seats

This route was Bu3 SMRT 945 from Opp Hometeam to Bukit Gombak MRT , MRT ride to Bukit Batok and then the Bus 941 @ BB Interchange to Ah -Mah place.

Darius Progess...ABC and 123...

After almost 2 months with so much major changes to Big D's life ( Child care and a new sibling - Mei)

Our big D made great progress...

# Numbers
Due to much credit to parents ( especially Daddy) , while constantly distraction the boy by asking him to look at the Lift's number as we go up and down... Big D is able to recite 2-10, as for the Number one, he will point his Index finger but refuses to pronouce ONE...

# ABCs.

We discovered by chance that he is able to recognise and even mention the Big caps of almost 60% of the 26 Alphabets, tho at times he will disturb by Saying " A" for B and C.. etc..
"H" is mistaken as " I"... as this boy turns his head 90 degrees.
The bext pronounced Alphas are " A", "O'  and" X", the lately addition is "Z" ( We try to related to his cousin name, Issac)









# Shapes

 

 This is Daddy's latest discovery while distracting him but little does he knows that his Big D already had almost all the shapes in his little finger tips.

Circle, Square Diamond, Heart and Star is no issue for him...

 #Stacking
One of the fine motor skills is to try stack objects on top of each other... we have been instigating Big D to do so, somehow he refuses. Guess what I found on the playmat one day.He managed to stack up these little cuties on his own.. too bad I was taking care of Mei and did not managed to witness..

Then the next day he did this... we also missed it.
Proud of him :)

August Library Visit

Every month there's always a trip to the Jurong East regional library together with teachers and friends.

This time round , the 2nd time for big D and as per teacher he is engrossed with the books...
