Busy Daddy

This is going to be the 2nd busiest year I have other than year 2009 when we were preparing for our wedding.

Phew, we managed to get all the stuffs required in order to welcome the little boy into our house. Amazingly, when Darius is in mummy's tummy, he is already keeping us real busy.

Firstly, during the first trimester, he made mummy vomit everyday. And then the dizzy spells that mummy have every morning. And then of cos the food craving sent daddy scrambling to get char quay tiao, chocolate, ice cream and what else, famous amos. According to mummy, these are all darius request. Hmmmm.

Then came the 2nd trimester when everything was rather smooth. Mummy's or darius's appetite became exceptionally good. Weight gain was a daily affair. No morning nauseousness or vomitting, only lots of food. Honeymoon period.

Thirdly, which is now the 3rd trimester. Everyweek is a surprise. Mummy and daddy s busy coping with all the symptoms from the pregancy, rashes, giddiness, tummyache, foot swollen, hand and feet itchy, allergy, oily nose, fatigue, you name it we have it. At least 3-4 trips to the GP already this month + 1 time to KK and 2 times to gynae. And of cos all these + setting up the nice nursery + milk bottles, tits, towels and ....

We are now anxious parents awaiting the arrival of the little boy. Daddy is observing mummy's feet everyday, any sign of swellness reduction meant, darius can arrive within a day or 2. How exciting !!!!

In fact, there are 7 aunts + 4 grandparents, lots of friends, relatives and 1 dog who are also anxious for darius's arrival. Let hope he come soon and safely.

All the UltraScans - From the Beginning!

Smirked by Experienced Parents

Last weekend woke up early and had a breakfast appointment with my parents.
As usual they are early birds thus we met at CCK - Yakun for Breakfast, everything went fine...
Until the topic of "delinquent kids" came up. Apparently on particular case study of a Kid boy hitting his father and leaving home but came back for Grandma's funeral with a 180 change - High earning power and totally a different person in all...

Nin : Maybe the father hit the kid that's why the kid beat up the father, so for self defense it's reasonable
Dd  : No matter what , Should not beat your father up right?
All  : * Silence* not sure what to say...

But that's beside the Smirking I've got , see how it continues:
We went on to Pet Lovers to get some Bones for the "Kid Pet" Myrow since his biting frenzy is back and Mum's complaining him biting up specs, plastics, combs... anything he finds on the floor ( don't ask me my specs are on the floor, i will need a whole page of blog to explain that one)

Well, so i suggest after getting the bone " Let's go Kiddy Palace"
Agenda : I need to grab stuffs as and went I can think of before I " Pop"

We went in with an immediate agenda > Get those sterilizing thongs , those that you pick up bottles etc from the sterilizer ( As what we learnt from ParentCraft Lessons weekly)

Here comes the Smirk...
Smirk Smirk Smirk , Last time we also don't need such things... can use hands lah...

*Smiling Wide*
True Enough there's a saying in Hokkien > La Sap Jia, La Sap Dua ( Dirty Eat, Dirty Grow up) The Chinese believe that it's ok and it's better not to be so paranoid with cleanliness as the Child will still grow up with a good immunity system.

Well that's how I grew up, my parents grew up.... we still survived.

We went to the counter and paid for the those items ( Brushes, Sterilizing Thongs) , even bought an extra pair for be placed at Grandma's Liz's place ;) and to be prepared by another round of Smirking again with the other set of Experienced parents ( this one tougher brought up 5 kids)

Cleaning Up & Getting Ready!

A short break in the middle of the week gave us ( actually only dad doing the job) the extra time to clean up the nursery

> Wipe the Baby Cot
> Clean the floor
> Fix up the Changing table ( Secure it)
> Wipe all the furnitures clean, those ikea storage boxes
> Wash all your barang barang ( clothes, mittens, booties, towels, etc & more more more)

> Dry all the Nappies , towels ( parent craft told us a new born will need 24 nappies)

> Fixing up the Hi-Fi for future music education :)

> Pack Mummy's Hospital Bag

Phew~ all the things to be done before your arrival... and more to when u finally arrive.
