The Solution : Snuggle Nest

The whole journey of planning for your arrival has turned our route our lives into a total unbelievable direction.

One day, We were going through the routine of the future...
Milk, bathing, sending to grandma's place... picking up... then " Sleeping"
We realised ... Darius u had to sleep alone in the crib in your room ... ALONE..
Immediately we tried to stroll the cot into Our bedroom.. and it got stuck at the door.
Ooops..!!!!!!

So we searched high and low for a solution ( your typical engineered brained parents)
Always must have a solution to problems.

After several search we decided the SNUGGLE NEST was the best option ( so far... )
and Dua Kor gladly agree to sponsor >>  Thankies to Her!
It's all washed up and ready for use! The best thing about it .. it's portable and can be carried when we are on trips ( to your grand parents place.. etc)

Our only fear now is that not sure if u sleep on the same bed.. will daddy give u a tai chi blow.
We shall see.. everything is quite uncertain yah. * Wink*

Mummy's getting Ready & What are u doing?

Ginger SunTan-ing
GrandMa Liz brought these in view of preparation, Daddy's giving them a good indoor Tan

Exercising
She is prepping up by some stunts recommended by parent craft
1. Hip rotation: Hoping you will engaged
2. Buttocks Lift... again to "train" some muscles @ Hips ( as if)
3. Squatting: Apparently from Auntie LJ it's suppose to help you engage into position for Natural birth

Hair cut, Facial Mask & grooming
In order to look as gorgeous as she can on your arrival day coz there's gonna be lots of photo snapping and it's a special moment, she wouldn't want to look too ungroomed ( thanks to her colleague Vikki for reminding her). Plan for the hair cut and wash during MAT leave after the Gynae visit on 21 Dec 10.
If she could get a Mani/Pedi, she would surely go for it. just that will scare the manicurist with her overly swollen and dried up hands and feets ( Skip!)

Young CocoNut
That's a good drink for her at this last stage
Helps digestion & Aids constipation + Old wife myth
Cleansing for the baby ( Partly for photo taking of YOU , dear Darius Prince so that you look CLEAN
Btw, Daddy can work at the fruit stall - chopping open coconuts it's a feat!

Hair Clips
Because for the next 28-30 days , it's gonna be CONFINEMENT.
Try not to have hair wash, bathe and too much breeze blowing on Mummy
It's Mummy's chance to have her body renewal...

Daddy's Massage
Due to very swollen feets and strained back, Daddy's helping to provide Massage service to Mummy almost every night. And WE actually dose off after Daddy's magical Touch!
Thanks Hubby/ Daddy!

About Darius (You) - What are you up to?

Camel
Your fav position @ night. We describe it as you made Mummy's tummy the position of a "M" if you write in slur mode , for the engineers and math student : Cosine Wave.
Hence looked like a Hump on Both tummy ends but in the middle with a "low" Just like camel's hump.
It's actually quite painful as you are pushing upwards causing Mummy difficulty to sleep... she sleeps sitting up!

Poking
It seems you enjoy poking on the upper right of Mummy's tummy.Tiny and sharp feeling like massage rollers in-built in Mummy's tummy.

Hiccups
Sometimes a constant "beat" felt in the middle of tummy and Mummy reckon that's probably your practice with Hiccups.

Safety Precautions :)

Well Online Shopping was Indeed Interesting
Guess what I found
~
For Baby Boys, there's the always constant "fear" when changing diapers for them
The Shooting Range and Chinese often said "Offering of Tea"
~
Changing Diapers could be a stressful and fussy process
No Matter how well trained a Mummy you cannot control what's going to happen
I called this "Pee Prevention Than Cure " - PPTC will definitely be for good use
We shall See it's Usefullness
~

P/S : Bought a set of 4 for my Dear friend LJ... Hope you received the Gift in your mailer soon!
Merry Xmas ~

Baby Mobile Saga

Darius's nursery isn't complete without a "Baby Mobile"...providing sweet nursery rhymes/songs + Visual stimulation will aid in growth and development.

So as usual we popped by Kiddy Palace and bought the " Dreams in Sight" Mobile... A mobile with a " Glow". After fixing up we found that we do not have the battery size to test if out ( u see the occupational hazard at it's work). After securing those batteries... something cropped up!

The Mobile could not TURN in a smooth way ..ARGGGGH!!!!

Called up Kiddy palace and they advise us to bring in the full set for exchange. At Kiddy palace the mobile was working fine BUT the 2nd time try out... again there were glitches to the Mobile's Mobility.

Disappointed parents, we seriously tested the full functionality of this mobile.
1. Test all 4 songs,
2. Test rotating function can last for long
3. Test Remote functionality
4. Continue test for next few days (7 days exchange)

So we did an experiment to check out what it's going to be like from Darius's point of view

Dreams in Sight Review :

Your baby's sleep transition needs at naptime are different than they are at bedtime. Finally, there's one mobile the can help meet both. The First Year's Dreams in Sight Projection Mobile offers classic mobile activity for quiet time play during the day, and at night, projects a dreamy light show to help baby transition to sleep. While other light show mobiles project onto the ceiling, this mobile projects dreamy, colorful shapes directly onto a canopy - right in your baby's range of vision! This means baby can easily focus on the soothing images as she drifts off to sleep.

Features:
* Displays soothing images of moons and stars
* Images promote visual tracking skills
* Music box can be used separately for older babies
* Remote control lets parent activate music and motion
* Remote hangs easily on nursery door
* High contrast plush animals
* 2 play options - music and images or music and revolving characters
* On/Off button
* Automatically turns off after 10 minutes
* Adjustable volume
* Plays 4 musical selections

Is Mummy's Tummy really that HUGE?

Towards the last stage of pregnancy ( which is really known as the most uncomfortable, difficult, tiring & heavy stage) , Mummy often get these from strangers or even close friends and colleague > " Are you having TWINS?"

Dear Darius Boy, although Doctor assured that you are the average size baby ( @ 36 weeks : 2.7 KG) and not gigantic but we are very skeptical.

Lately, you have been rumbling in my tummy in all possible directions.
The best part was trying to catch you when you elbowed me , showing a sharp corner poking out of my tummy. I even describe you getting ready for your BMT, left, right etc... testing your motor skills. Mum is really feeling like humpty dumpty... An Egg... A Big EGG ( as quoted by Cousin Caden)

Latest food craze:
Since we dumped famous amos ( due to daddy's strong objection on the sweets)
We have showed great interest in Pistachios, Coconut Juice , Soon Kueh & Green Apple Juice.

Today @ Dinner in Bali Thai (WestMall) the waitress was also commenting how huge the tummy is and predicting that delivery is within this week. We still have to make it to Uncle  Kor Kor (*Special request from Groom) Jeremy's Wedding dinner on the 23 Dec 10 ( Oh.. how to last till then)
** But Kor Kor Jeremy, we are still expecting Ang Pow

So until you managed to Pop out from the comfort zone, we really do not know what is contributing to this over sized belly. Let's be patient and have our conclusion on your arrival day :)

See Ya! Soon... real soon.

The most wonderful sound ❤

Well it's actually exactly ONE month away from your EDD : 3 Jan 11
Mummy is getting very anxious , heavy, swollen & Slow... in movement.
For the record, mummy is always getting this :" You're carrying TWINS?"
Is this Bundle really so BIG?

But well, guess what she found in her iphone, a video recording on 18 June 10 ( Only Week 12)

Back then Dr Michelle Lee was checking your heartbeat ~  The most wonderful sound to both Daddy and Mummy. It was exciting and the tune kept humming in our ears... till now ( Although we thought it was quite loud and fast : Which Doc assured it's very normal)

Your thunderous heartbeat filled up the Gynae's room :)
What a wonderful sound

The basic baby checklist from Ikea

What a good checklist... makes us feel that we are " capable parents"

All TICKS :)
