Darius's Food Review - Rice Cereal/Carrot Puree

Started with An Empty bowl 

Poured Rice cereal and 3 baby spoon of the Cooked carrot puree

Mixed and Twirl until semi- solidified.

The Puree is finally ready to be served to the " King"

Enjoying the Puree but need some warm water to wash down.

The unavoidable MESS

That was his message to Mummy " Sigh"

 OK, I need to be more efficient with every single drop of this nice stuff

 It's really Gluey, but superb!

 Mummy, I'll bite on the Bowl so that you will not take this good stuff away

 Ok, I know I have to be more civilized, BUT can you be QUICK

Finally the Verdict from Darius on his very 1st Rice cereal-Carrot Puree.

Verdict : 5 Thumbs UP !!!

Still after all the serving of Rice cereal -carrot puree, dear Big D still need his normal dosage of MILK in order to be knocked off.

Side Line a little, wondering where did those leftover carrots been to?

Daddy also gave 100 Points for the wonderful pasta dinner (* Winks*)

Now all the washing and cleaning left to be done.

Darius's Carrot Puree

After trying out potatoes and Darius being very receptive to it. The next puree we are going to try is the Orange Carrot! And we have here is the 7 simple steps too puree carrot...

1. Buy a big chunky carrot, wash it n Peel it clean.

2. Chop / Slice and decorate a Plate with it ( Clown below)

3. Remnants carrot are further slice and treat as leftovers for the parents

4. Put the " Clown " Carrots into the Philip Magic Steam- Blender

5.Cover up and start to Steam those lovely orange bits

6. Steam for ~ 10-15 mins, set off the timer and go play with Darius

( This timer is very useful, Kudos to Daddy for buying one from Daiso)

7. Once complete the steaming, turnover and start to blend.

7. Store the final product into a container , heat up when it's messy meal time

The Puree Attempt Using Philip Avent (Steam-Blender)

We decided to start you ( big D) to have a go at some root Vege - Potato for a start. You have started having Rice cereal mixed with BM... now we want to intro another taste and texture...


We bought Potatoes from Giant. Peeled them clean, and chop them up and throw into the magic steam-blender. Add 150ml water, Steam for 15 mins then turn and blend

And into this tasty mix of Rice cereal + BM + Potato Puree

And you really enjoyed it :)

YUMMIE :), Now gone for a hot bath and soon.. to dreamland.

Big D met up with mummy's friends for breakfast today.. plus teabreak..plus lunch! :)


We had breakfast @ Forty Hands, yong shiak street. V good and nice food. Tho the place is alittle crowded and warm but it's definitely cozy.
Not so nice to be mistaken by others that the pungent smell is Big D's poo poo... should be from the other kiddo from the other table.


after Big Boy breakfast and Salmon Hash we headed to Orchard Central...
Hang around @ Fruit paradise for Music/ Dance and Fruit Tart.

Later it was EWF for lunch.. then we headed home @ 5pm.
Dead Beat!

But mummy wanted to complete the canvas works.. and Ta DAh! Done!

And Daddy is finding means to watch champion league... @ 2am.

Another romper and Thumbs UP to Auntie Eileen for knowing your SIZE! XXXXXL, my dear darius.

You are just 5 Mos but wearing 12- 18 Mos clothes... phew~

This Old Navy Romper is just so CUTE.

Asides, Our darlings ( Giselle and Darius met again today in the late evening), Both slightly grumps due to the 30C torching weather. It's just so nice to see them together in one place.. :) slight interaction, a little smile here and there.

Lucky there's no Milk bottle floating around, Darius is about to snap at us.

Today there's major renovation on-going @ Grandma Liz' place.
Please do not be shocked but 1x Sink in a bathroom was dislodged and poses alot of worries for all.

HengLip, the filial son (Your Daddy) - Did all the coordination and purchase of the new sink and etc.. Thus he was on 1/2  day being the overall coordinator
1. Coordinate how and where the uncle should drill and install the sink and other accessories
2. Coordinate and " persuade" Grandma Liz to bring you ( big D) for a walk out in the neighbourhood - Kopi tiam and void deck.

So why all the rambles about - Dairus Met Giselle ?

Here is goes:
This is what I understood from Filial Son ( your Daddy), hence if there's any misinterpretation of the real event , please look for the narrator of this event/ messenger - Filial Son ( your daddy)

Apparently, Daddy had to convince Grandma Liz to bring you out for a walk because the drilling and all that sound may " frightened " you. As if! The Darius we know can sleep through anything commotion, but better play safe than sorry.

Grandma Liz brought you to Kopi shop, but that did not last long. Too much hangin out there and smiling to aunties and stall holders is not exactly going to pass the time. Uncle is still drilling. So Grandma Liz and Xiao Gu ( QL) brought you to the void deck stone table and wait and wait and wait..

Guess who drove by? Auntie Eileen * Giselle's Lovely Mummy, for the benefit of other readers

She immediately Said " GO UP to My Mum's place....!!!!"
She called her Mum : Auntie Ma Ma * That's what Isaac calls her, Isaac's Nanny
